Mike Badger
Born in Liverpool in 1962 Mike Badger is an artist, sculptor, singer and songwriter from Liverpool.
After studying at St Helen’s College of Art and Design (1979-1981) Mike moved to London where in 1984 he co-founded Liverpool band The La’s. On leaving The La’s Mike went on to establish alternative country/roots rockabilly band The Onset and more recently Mike Badger and The Shady Trio. Along with the musician Paul Hemmings, Mike also founded Liverpool's independent record label The Viper Label.
In 1990 Mike started making sculptures using recycled tin cans and other found objects sculpture. Since that time he has exhibited widely and worked on numerous public commissions including the creation of a permanent suspended sculpture to celebrate John Lennon’s 70th birthday.
In 2016 Mike’s Autobiography The Rhythm and The Tide (Liverpool, The La’s and Ever After) was published by Liverpool University Press 2016
